My name is Muhammad Abbas Ahmad. I am currently a fellow of Amal Academy from Batch 180. I have learned a lot of things from Amal Academy like Amal Values, Leadership skills, Mock interviews, Passenger series. I applied for the very first time in 4th Semester and got rejected but I was very disheartened. I was trying to work on my own skills. At last the long awaited day has come. I am very happy to say that we are Amal family.

WE ARE AMAL FAMILY

In these three months of fellowship, I realized that there are a lot of things which change your thoughts and make positive changes. I want to share a positive example. Amal told me that everyone has the same mind but some people use to find freedom in their thoughts called the Growth Mindset and some people give up easily with the fear of failure called Fixed Mindset. Positive thinkers always become happy in every situation. Both people have the same glass with equal water. Positive thinker says I am half full because he is seeing what he has and on the other side he has negative thoughts. Why am I not full?

Sir Noor Alam is our Program Manager. He is a very humble and nice person. I love that moment when he met with me in a one-on-one session. Career counselling session is very important for every student who wants to change his life. This one-on-one session with sir Noor Alam is my favorite part in the fellowship and creates a positive impact on my life. I discussed all issues with sir related to my life in that meeting. Sir asked me What do you want to discuss with me. I reply that I have faced issues related to communication in English. English is an international language and I want to become a good listener, speaker and writer. Sir shared great tips with me related to English speaking and writing.

One-on-One Session

Sir Noor Alam great tips:

  1. Speaking in front of the mirror: “Make it a habit to stand in front of the mirror before you go to bed at night and talk about what you’ve done all day,” Sir said. And sir insisted that you talk and ask questions in the online session because it’s a better way to improve your speaking.
  2. Improve your Grammar: Take only one topic of grammar once a week and understand and practice it. Sir also recommended a book by Wren & Martin.
  3. Write a Blog after every week: First you write on Google document because it is a good tool to identify your grammar mistakes and highlights then you easily understand your mistakes. “You must read a novel once a week and then write a blog about that novel,”Sir said.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE

After that day I followed the words of the sir and now thank God my English is getting better. I am thankful to you sir for these tips. I always remember this session. I also remember every single moment that we spend in this fellowship. I am thankful to every member who adds happy moments in this fellowship.

Thanks Tashfeen for this Amazing graphics.
